About the Center of Expertise for Phosphates (CEPH)
The Expertise Center for Phosphates (CEPH) collaborates with industry through a joint program focused on enhancing industrial performance and achieving operational excellence. By leveraging applied research and innovations, CEPH bridges academic expertise with industrial needs to foster progress and efficiency in phosphate-related activities.

Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Nuclear Physics and Applications
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in nuclear physics and its applications, with expertise in radiochemistry applied to the phosphate industry.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Analysis and Monitoring of Radionuclides and Heavy Metals:
o    Develop and implement nuclear analysis methods to characterize phosphate ores and their by-products.
o    Monitor and control the migration of radionuclides and heavy metals throughout industrial processes.
2.    Optimization of Industrial Processes:
o    Utilize nuclear techniques to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of industrial processes.
o    Collaborate with production teams to integrate innovative solutions.
3.    Development of Advanced Systems and Methodologies:
o    Design detection and dosimetry systems tailored to the specific needs of the phosphate industry.
o    Innovate analytical methodologies to identify optimization opportunities. 
4.    Training and Awareness:
o    Participate in training and raising awareness among industrial teams on radioprotection and nuclear techniques.
o    Supervise students and young researchers.

Required Skills
1.    Nuclear Instrumentation and Advanced Detection Techniques:
o    Proficiency in detecting ionizing radiation and using Monte Carlo simulation software (MCNP, GEANT4).
o    Knowledge of multi-element analytical techniques (PIXE, XRF, ICP-MS).
2.    Valorization of Industrial Waste:
o    Experience in developing processes for treating and valorizing radioactive industrial waste.
3.    Cross-Functional Skills:
o    Ability to write technical reports and scientific publications.
o    Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary academic and industrial teams.
o    Project management and team supervision capabilities.

Candidate Profile
•    Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent, with a specialization in nuclear physics and detection techniques.
•    Experience in academic and/or industrial projects related to the phosphate industry or similar fields.
•    Strong command of Monte Carlo software and advanced analytical techniques.
•    Scientific publications in specialized journals.
