The College of Nursing is the fifth college within Qatar University Health Sector (QU Health Sector). Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach didactic lectures, clinical courses, and labs as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision.
- Assess student assignments and grade student performance.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Develop curriculum and programs.
- Participate in faculty governance including serving on Departmental, College, and/or University committees.
- Maintain an ongoing record of scholarly productivity including publications in internationally recognized journals.
- Foster and participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams in the College, QU Health Sector and across the University.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Nursing from a reputable university with a specialization in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing or Community Health Nursing.
- Specialty certification is preferred.
- Active registered nurse license from home country or country of residency.
- Eligibility for an educator license from Qatar's Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), and to be obtained within six months of hiring.
- A minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching in an undergraduate nursing program.
- Evidence of clinical experience and or teaching experience in the area of specialty.
- Experience with competency-based curriculum is preferred.
- Experience with next generation NCLEX-RN exam is preferred.
- Evidence of research productivity in the area of specialization is preferred.

- Copy of highest earned credential (transcript of highest degree if graduated from an institution where course work was completed. However, if no course work was completed, a copy of certificate letter from the registrar of your highest credential granting institution regarding your highest academic degree).
